Service Description

Two Kids and a Dad Contracting offers a range of drywall services to customers, including installation, repair, and replacement. Drywall installation involves putting up new walls or ceilings made of gypsum board or plasterboard, typically as part of a construction or renovation project. This involves measuring and cutting the drywall to fit the specific area, securing it to the framing or substrate, and taping and finishing the seams and joints.

Drywall repair services include fixing holes, cracks, or other damage to existing walls or ceilings. This may involve cutting out damaged sections, installing new drywall, and finishing the surface to match the surrounding area. Replacement services may be needed if existing drywall is severely damaged or outdated, and involves removing and disposing of the old material and installing new drywall.

We also offer services for finishing drywall surfaces, such as texturing or painting. This involves adding texture or other decorative finishes to the surface of the drywall, or applying paint or other coatings to create a desired color or appearance.

In addition to these services, we also offer consulting and guidance for customers in choosing the right type of drywall for their project, as well as advice on proper maintenance and care to ensure the longevity and durability of the drywall.

LEVEL 0!

This is also known as "unfinished." The drywall is hung, but there is no taping, finishing, or texturing. This level is typically used for temporary construction or in areas that will be covered by other materials.
02

LEVEL 1!

This is also known as "fire-taping." Joint tape is applied to all joints and angles, but no joint compound is used. This level is typically used in garages, storage areas, or other areas where appearance is not important.
03

LEVEL 2!

This is also known as "fire-taping." Joint tape is applied to all joints and angles, but no joint compound is used. This level is typically used in garages, storage areas, or other areas where appearance is not important.
04

LEVEL 3!

This is also known as "smooth finish." Joint tape is applied to all joints and angles, and a thin layer of joint compound is applied over the tape. A second coat of joint compound is applied over the first coat, and the surface is sanded smooth. This level is typically used in areas that will be painted with a flat or eggshell finish.
05

LEVEL 4!

This is also known as "semi-smooth finish." Joint tape is applied to all joints and angles, and a thin layer of joint compound is applied over the tape. A second and third coat of joint compound is applied over the first coat, and the surface is sanded smooth. This level is typically used in areas that will be painted with a semi-gloss or gloss finish.
06

LEVEL 5!

This is also known as "skim coat." Joint tape is applied to all joints and angles, and a thin layer of joint compound is applied over the tape. A second and third coat of joint compound is applied over the first coat, and the surface is sanded smooth. A final skim coat of joint compound is applied to the entire surface, and the surface is sanded smooth again. This level is typically used in areas that will be painted with a high-gloss finish or where light reflects off the surface, such as in a foyer or hallway.
